Can't Make Your Appointment?
Last month, many patients were unable to keep their appointments. Because we did not hear from them, we were unable to reschedule that time for their fellow veterans. If you can't make your appointment, let us help you reschedule.
Temporary Service-Level Changes
In response to recent and unanticipated losses of key physicians, a decision was made to temporarily close the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and downgrade the Emergency Department (ED) to an Urgent Care Center (UCC) at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center, Iron Mountain, Michigan. This difficult decision was necessary to ensure the safety of our veteran patients. The VA Medical Center staff has several new recruitment efforts underway and hired a professional recruitment firm to search for qualified candidates. During this temporary closured period, veterans will continue to receive necessary care the appropriate health care settings in their local community and/or from other VA Medical Centers.
